Sourcing the Right Materials
It all starts with quality raw materials. The star is 18/8 stainless steel (SUS304 grade)—a food-safe alloy with 18% chromium (for rust resistance) and 8% nickel (for durability). For lids, manufacturers use BPA-free plastics (like polypropylene and tritan) and silicone gaskets to ensure safety and a tight seal.

Shaping the Bottle – Machining Magic
The stainless steel tube undergo processes like hydroforming or stainless steel sheet with deep drawing to shape the inner and outer cup. These techniques use pressure to mold the metal into specific design shape of inner cup and outer cup. Next comes extrusion to form threads (for the lid) then cutting to trim excess material, and fine-tuning to ensure the two walls of steel cup fit perfectly.

Welding & Creating the Vacuum Seal
Here’s where insulation begins. The inner and outer cups are welded together at the neck and bottom, leaving a small gap between them. This gap is then evacuated of air to create a vacuum layer—the secret to blocking heat transfer.

Cleaning & Finishing Touches
Electrolysis: The inner cup undergoes electrolysis to enhancing corrosion resistance, ensuring the stainless steel water bottle stands up to acidic drinks like coffee or juice.
Polishing: The outer surface is polished to a smooth finish, ready for customization.
Coloring: Many bottles get a coat of paint or powder coating for vibrant hues—scratch-resistant and designed to last.
